CRITIC REVIEW:

“Beyle made his début in 1897 at the Paris Grand Opéra. In 1898 he was engaged to sing at the Opéra-Comique in Paris, where he remained until 1914. Here in 1903 he had one of his biggest success in Massenet’s WERTHER. In 1905 he performed as Werther in the 100th performance of the opera at the Opéra-Comique. Here he also appeared in several premieres, and in 1908 he belonged to the première ensemble of Rimsky-Korssakov’s SNEGOUROTCHKA. In 1910 he substituted for Enrico Caruso at a guest performance of the New York Metropolitan opera in Paris appearing as Cavaradossi with Geraldine Farrar and Antonio Scotti. After his retirement, Beyle taught singing in Paris and later in Lyon, the city where he was born and died.”
