“Tina Desana is believed to have sung in 1905 with the San Carlo Opera Company in Boston and in 1908 with the Abramson Italian Opera Company in New York. Her name may have been a stage name derived from the San Carlo conductor Roberto de Sanna. She is known to have performed at Covent Garden in 1909, sharing the rôles of Santuzza and Aïda with Emmy Destinn. She made six recordings for the Fonotipia Company sometime before the outbreak of hostilities in 1914, at which point she disappeared from the written record.”
