"Yip Harburg's lyrics changed the face of this country. In 1932 Harburg wrote the lyric to "Brother Can you Spare a Dime," which has been called the theme song for the depression, and gave a voice to the millions of people who were devastated by the depression. T his Cd has 23 tracks by various artists. To my ears, most of the tracks are marvelous, although some of the performances are better than others. One notable performance is the last track, with Harburg performing "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" himself in live performance. That track is to me worth the price of admission all by itself."
