“Dagmar Pecková was born was born in Chrudim and studied at the State Conservatory in Prague. After an engagement at the Sächsische Staatsoper in Dresden, she was a member of the Staatsoper in Berlin. In the course of her successful professional career, she has made appearances on the world’s great opera and concert stages, including the Bayerische Staatsoper, Carnegie Hall, the Concertgebouw, the Grand Théâtre deGenève, the Hamburgische Staatsoper, the National Theatre in Prague, the Monte-Carlo Opéra, the Opéra National de Paris, the Opernhaus Zürich, the Royal Opera House Covent in Garden, the San Francisco Opera, the Staatstheater Stuttgart, Theater Basel, Théâtre du Châtelet Paris, Teatro São Carlos in Lisbon, and Wigmore Hall in London. She has appeared repeatedly at prestigious international music festivals, such as the Edinburgh International Festival, the Salzburg Festival, Prague Spring, and the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, where she was an artist-in-residence in 2014. She has sung under the artistic direction of such important conductors as J. Belohlávek, S. Bychkov, S. Cambreling, P. M. Davies, C. von Dohnanyi, C. Dutoit, C. Eschenbach, V. Fedo seyev, M. Honeck, N. Järvi, Ch. Mackerras, K. Nagano, F. Luisi, V. Neumann, L. Pešek, K. Petrenko, G. Prétre, P. Schneider, S. Young, and W. Sawallisch. She has collaborated repeatedly with prestigious orchestras including the Bamberger Symphoniker, the BBC Symphony Orchestra, the Cleveland Orchestra, the Czech Philharmonic, the Dresdner Philharmonie, the DSO Berlin, the London Symphony Orchestra, the Münchner Philharmoniker, the NHK Symphony Orchestra in Tokyo, the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, the WDR, SWR, MDR, and NDR Radio Orchestras, the Philharmonisches Staatsorchester Hamburg, the Prague Philharmonia, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, the RSO Frankfurt, the Staatskapelle Berlin, the Staatskapelle Dresden, the Prague Symphony Orchestra, the Philharmonia Orchestra, the Tonhalle Zürich, the Wiener Philharmoniker and the Wiener Symphoniker. She has made recordings on the Hänssler Classic, Supraphon, Teldec, and Warner Music labels.”
